Student Expectations
While enrolled at Victoria’s Academy, students are expected to abide by and respect this conduct code. Disciplinary action will be taken with any student that breaks the code (see STUDENT DISIPLINE POLICY.)


Student Code of Conduct

Admission to Victoria’s Academy of Cosmetology carries with it the assumption that the student is committed to a course of study which carries certain rights and responsibilities. These are as follows:

  • Assume the major responsibility for self-directed learning.
  • Complete in a pre-determined sequence of theory and practical courses, taken concurrently
  • Retain and integrate beginning knowledge with subsequent learning
  • Achieve the program objectives within the given time frame
  • Retain all course materials and textbooks for reference throughout the entire program
  • Share information obtained during an analysis with instructors prior to client services
  • Act as professionals while representing Victoria’s Academy and the Cosmetology industry, misconduct reflects on all students, staff and school
  • Participate and attend classes regularly in order to complete the programs curriculum, competencies and required hours in a timely manner
  • Cheating and plagiarism will be subject to suspension or dismissal from the student's program

Please note: It is the responsibility of the student to provide written notification to the school administration of any changes in address or telephone numbers. Having your correct and current address and phone number enables us to contact you if the need arises.

 


Dress Code

 

Students shall be in professional dress upon arrival at school. The following dress code must be followed throughout training.

  1. Professional white/black shirts, slacks, dresses or skirts
  2. Any combination of black/white is acceptable
  3. You may wear leggings with a skirt or dress, nothing shorter than 4 inches above the knee without leggings
  4. Colored accessories, such as, scarfs, belts or jewelry are acceptable
  5. Victoria's polo shirts and scrubs are allowed
  6. No midriff tops, belly's or backs showing at any time
  7. Spaghetti strap tops may only be worn under a jacket or sweater
  8. Lab coats and aprons are optional, must be purchased from Victoria's only
  9. Shoes must be close toed and socks or nylons must be worn at all times with all shoes.  No slippers or spiked heels allowed
  10. No sweats, sweatshirts, hats, visors, workout attire, logos or lettering allowed
  11. Students are to come to school with hair styled, nails manicured and make-up applied (where applicable).  Students that arrive in attire or appearance not compliant with the school rules will be sent home for the day
  12. STUDENT ID BADGE MUST BE WORN AND VISABLE TO CLIENTS AND STAFF AT ALL TIMES
